A recent development has been an initiative by our younger members. Students from universities-members presented a proposal to the General Assembly that a special youth organization be set up, to be known as ASECU Youth.
The idea was enthusiastically welcomed by our members and we had the pleasure to see the younger members of the Association establishing their own structures and setting out a programme of action.
The Rostov State University of Economics, Russia, celebrating its 80th Anniversary and in parallel with the 15th Anniversary of ASECU, organised the 1st Summer School of the ASECU students, where the ASECU Youth was born.
The Summer School took place in Rostov-on Don, Russia, from 11 to 18 of September 2011. The official founding of the Youth Association, with in parallel, the organisation of the 1st International Conference of the Students of ASECU Youth and presentations of the Professors who participated from the most Universities-members, gave to the students the opportunity to know its other and to exchange ideas.The official site of ASECU Youth can be reached at www.asecuyouth.org

The 2nd Summer School has been planed for the Summer 2012 and it is going to be organised by the University "Al. I. Cuza" of Iasi in Romania.
